Profile
David trained at 'High Wycombe' then the 'Slade School of Fine Art' under tutors Anthony Gross and Frank Auerbach. Following a scholarship in Italy he continued drawing and painting while working as a printer. At this time he was also editioning fine art prints for publishing houses including Editions - Alecto and Burleighfield House with John Piper, Howard Hodgkin, Barry Flanagan and other established artists.
His figurative and large abstract work attracted awards and prizes as well as being purchased by private individuals and various national collections.
David also taught at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham then became Principal Lecturer in 'Fine Art' at Bath Spa University.
His latest work has been an investigation into new presentations of painting. These vivid and vibrant works provide contemporary ideas about the complexities of the landscape of our lives and associations.
